Whole-algae powder is normally the first format to evaluate because it is a dry biomass ingredient without added formulation carriers. Select the final code by target potency, cultivation route and quality requirements.
Natural beta-carotene oil is normally the first format to evaluate for a lipid-filled softgel. Confirm the RE or SE extraction route, target concentration and corn-oil or olive-oil carrier by product code.
Beadlets are normally the first format to evaluate when water dispersion is required. They contain a declared encapsulating carrier system, so composition, dispersion, colour and stability must be tested in the final formula.
